I read the post on biggerpockets and thought it was good. The comments expressed some of the typical concerns that people have about selling without a realtor. Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on the 5-Day Sale Technique?

Thanks for the feedback, Terry.
Re: the 5-Day Sale Technique, I’m skeptical. Something about the presentations I’ve heard reminds me of those pyramid strategies where there’s a lot of hype. On the other hand, I’ve never tried it, so my opinion is purely conjecture. I would like to hear from real people who have been successful/unsuccessful with the program.
One thing that I do see a good point about is the emphasis on pricing your home to get offers. I’ve konwn too many homeowners who just had a magic number of what they wanted, and they waited for a long time, stubbornly refusing to admit their home might not be worth that. 5-Day tells you to reprice if you don’t get immediate offers, so I see where they’re coming from. However, like I said, I’m still a little skeptical.
It seems to me that the tried and true way to sell is to have a good product and to find a buyer willing to buy it. Simple. That’s what i’ve loved about http://www.buyowner.com–good coverage, good assistance, and good success rate.
I noticed on your blog that you’re planning to try this method. Let me know how it goes.
